How Do Max Electrostatic Filters Work?
Max electrostatic filters are made from special materials that develop their own safe electrostatic charge as air is drawn through the filter by your air-conditioner, heater or furnace - This charge attracts contaminants like a magnet. Max electrostatic filters do not require any power to operate and will replace any existing Air-conditioning/Heating filter without modification.

High Arrestance
Arrestance is a term which refers to a filter’s ability to trap airborne contaminants such as dust and mold. Max's 3-Stage filter boasts 87% arrestance which means that 87% of contaminants were trapped during testing.

 

Low Resistance
Resistance is a term which defines how hard your air conditioner / heater needs to work in order to pull air through the filter. Filters with low resistance allow the air conditioner / heater to breathe more easily and to operate more efficiently. A good filter with low resistance will save you money and reduce repair bills when compared to a filter with higher resistance because your air conditioner will operate fewer hours per day. The Max 3-Stage electrostatic filter has an initial resistance of a mere 0.08 w.g. at an airflow of 1200 CFM, one of the lowest values compared to other manufacturer’s electrostatic filters (Many of the cheaper filters have resistance up in the 0.12 to 0.19 range - higher resistance equates to higher utility bills and lower efficiency).

Anti-Microbial Protection

Max electrostatic filters are embedded with an anti-microbial which effectively limits and controls bacteria, mold and mildew, and helps to reduce odor.
